• Traditional: The bride and groom wear full traditional dress according to the region, such as Javanese kebaya and beskap, Minang baju kurung or Batak ulos. Accessories and make-up are distinctive and more detailed.
• International: The bride usually wears a white dress and the groom a suit or tuxedo.

3. Procession & Ceremony

• Traditional: Includes a series of traditional rituals such as siraman, midodareni, akad/adat, panggih and reception. All processions have symbolic significance.
• International: Generally shorter, starting with the blessing or vows, then the reception. There are not as many symbolic ceremonies as in the traditional.

• Traditional: Decorations are rich in regional ornaments, many ethnic elements, gold, red or traditional colours.

• Traditional: Tends to be more expensive and takes longer to prepare due to the complexity of the procession and traditional paraphernalia.
• International: More flexible in terms of budget and more practical, as there are fewer processes.

6. Cultural Values

• Traditional: Preserve cultural values and ancestral customs.
• International: More emphasis on aesthetics, comfort and modern lifestyle.
